Authentic Flawless Yazd Cake
Ingredients
- 2 and 1/3 cups flour
- 1 heaping cup yogurt
- 1 heaping cup liquid oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/4 cup rose water
- 1 tablespoon honey
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and cardamom powder.
In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients: yogurt, liquid oil, eggs, rose water, and honey.
Combine the wet and dry mixtures until well blended to form a batter.
Pour the batter into greased molds or a baking pan.
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
