Turkish Revani Dessert
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup semolina
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour (add gradually)
Syrup
- 2.5 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
Preparation
First, make the syrup by combining sugar and water, bring it to a boil, and then let it cool completely.
Prepare the cake batter by mixing eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, yogurt, semolina, baking powder, vanilla, and flour until well combined.
Bake the batter in a greased pan in a preheated oven until golden and set.
Once the cake is baked and still warm, pour the cooled syrup over it evenly.
Tips
Optionally, spread whipped cream on top for serving.
