Turkish Revani Dessert

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour (add gradually)

Syrup

  • 2.5 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water

Preparation

  1. First, make the syrup by combining sugar and water, bring it to a boil, and then let it cool completely.

  2. Prepare the cake batter by mixing eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, yogurt, semolina, baking powder, vanilla, and flour until well combined.

  3. Bake the batter in a greased pan in a preheated oven until golden and set.

  4. Once the cake is baked and still warm, pour the cooled syrup over it evenly.

Tips

  1. Optionally, spread whipped cream on top for serving.
