Orange Revani Semolina Cake

Ingredients

Syrup

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3.5 cups water
  • quarter of a lemon

Cake

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tea cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 packet vanilla
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • grated orange peel
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tea cup fresh orange juice

Preparation

  1. Make the syrup by boiling it on high heat until it boils, then simmer on low heat for 5 minutes and let it cool.

  2. For the cake, beat sugar and eggs until creamy.

  3. Add yogurt, flour, semolina, vegetable oil, grated orange peel, vanilla, and baking powder, then mix well.

  4. Grease the baking dish and pour in the batter.

  5. Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 35 minutes.

  6. After baking, let it rest for 5 minutes and then pour the orange juice evenly over it.

  7. Let the cake cool completely.

  8. Pour the cooled syrup over the cooled cake.

  9. Let it rest for 2-3 hours to absorb the syrup.

  10. Finally, decorate with ground pistachio and coconut.
