Baked Semolina Yogurt Dessert

Ingredients

Syrup

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 slice lemon

Batter

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1.5 cups semolina
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 packet vanilla
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 tea cup crushed hazelnuts
  • zest of 1 lemon

Preparation

  1. Boil the syrup ingredients together and let cool.

  2. Mix all the batter ingredients together in a bowl.

  3. Pour the mixture into a greased baking tray.

  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown.

  5. Remove from the oven and immediately pour the cold syrup over the hot dessert.

  6. Allow to cool and decorate as desired.
