Homemade Sesame Cake with Saffron

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • several tablespoons sesame seeds
  • a few strands saffron

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients together to form a batter with a consistency that is not too thick or too thin.

  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C for a gas oven or 150°C for an electric oven or toaster.

  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes in a gas oven or 30-40 minutes in an electric oven until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
