Spicy Indonesian Green Chili Sambal
Ingredients
- 150 grams green chilies
- 7 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tomato
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- salt
- sugar
Preparation
Boil the shallots, garlic, and green chilies for 2-3 minutes with a little cooking oil and salt to keep the color vibrant.
Remove and coarsely grind the mixture.
Heat cooking oil in a pan and sauté the ground mixture.
Add chopped tomato, lime juice, salt, and sugar. Adjust seasoning to taste. For added umami, you can include oyster sauce.
