Limoncello Tiramisu with Candied Lemons
Ingredients
Candied lemons
- 3-4 lemons
- 25 cl water
- 250 grams sugar
Mascarpone cream
- 2 lemons
- 400 grams mascarpone
- 25 cl cream
- 4 egg yolks
- 70 grams sugar
- 5 cl limoncello
- 20 ladyfinger cookies
Preparation
Prepare candied lemons by slicing lemons and simmering them in a sugar syrup made from water and sugar until translucent and candied
For the mascarpone cream, whisk egg yolks with sugar until pale and thick, then stir in limoncello
Fold mascarpone and cream into the egg mixture until smooth and well combined
Briefly dip ladyfinger cookies in additional limoncello or a limoncello mixture to moisten
Layer the dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone cream in a dish, starting with a layer of cream and alternating as needed
Top the tiramisu with the candied lemons and refrigerate for several hours or overnight to set
