Honey Mustard Baked Chicken
Ingredients
- 6 whole chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup mustard paste or mustard
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup honey
Preparation
Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and prepare a shallow baking dish.
In a deep bowl, place the chicken pieces, salt, black pepper, and thyme, and rub the chicken well with the spices.
In a wide pan, heat the oil, add the chicken pieces with the skin touching the oil, and cook until golden.
Place the chicken pieces in the baking dish.
To the same pan, carefully add the lemon juice, honey, and mustard, and stir with a wooden spoon to make a smooth sauce.
Spread the sauce over the chicken in the dish.
Place a few sticks of thyme and rosemary in the dish.
Put the dish in the oven for an hour or until the chicken is cooked.
