Traditional Homemade Spanish Churros
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 100 grams butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- vanilla sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- oil for frying
Preparation
Pour water into a pot, add butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, then bring to a boil.
Add flour and stir until a smooth dough forms.
Cool the mixture.
Add eggs and mix well.
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Heat oil in a pan and pipe churros directly into the hot oil.
Fry until golden brown.
Tips
Optionally, dip the churros in chocolate sauce or fruit sauces for extra flavor.
