Traditional Homemade Spanish Churros

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 100 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • vanilla sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Pour water into a pot, add butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, then bring to a boil.

  2. Add flour and stir until a smooth dough forms.

  3. Cool the mixture.

  4. Add eggs and mix well.

  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.

  6. Heat oil in a pan and pipe churros directly into the hot oil.

  7. Fry until golden brown.

  1. Optionally, dip the churros in chocolate sauce or fruit sauces for extra flavor.
