Homemade Churros with Dulce De Leche
Ingredients
- 250 ml water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons margarine or unsalted butter
- Pinch of salt (optional, omit if margarine is salted)
- 300 grams all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- Oil for frying
- Sugar and cinnamon mixture for coating
- Dulce de leche for filling
Preparation
Heat the water in a pan, reduce the heat, and add the margarine and sugar. Stir well until the margarine is dissolved.
Gradually add the flour, stirring constantly, until the dough pulls away from the pan.
Remove from heat and add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a star tip or use a churros maker.
Pipe the dough into hot oil to the desired size and cut with fingers or a knife. Fry until golden brown.
Remove from oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture and fill with dulce de leche using the appropriate tip.
