Lecho Without Vinegar and Water

Ingredients

  • 3 kg red tomatoes
  • 1.5 kg bell peppers
  • 1 head garlic
  • Hot red pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Preparation

  1. Cut the tomatoes and place them in a pot. Add salt, sugar, and hot pepper. Bring to a boil.

  2. Once the mixture boils, add the bell peppers cut into strips.

  3. After 30 minutes of boiling, add the chopped garlic. Then, distribute the mixture into jars and seal.

Tips

  1. All proportions can be varied depending on the availability and quality of vegetables.

  2. Optionally, peel the tomatoes by blanching them in boiling water for picky eaters.

  3. Tomatoes can be replaced with tomato juice.
