Baked Cheese Pies with Sesame
Ingredients
Dough
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup water
Filling
- 1 cup feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons mint
Glaze
- 1 egg yolk
- sesame seeds
Preparation
Place the dough ingredients except oil and water in a mixer bowl, use the dough hook, and mix for a few seconds. Then add the oil and water, and mix until a cohesive dough forms, adding more flour if necessary. Knead on low speed for 8 minutes.
Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
For the filling, mix the cheese and mint together.
Divide the dough into small balls and stuff them with the filling.
Place the dough balls in a baking tray, cover, and let them rise until doubled in size.
Brush the surface of the dough balls with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the pies until golden brown.
