Soft and Fluffy Yeast Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup corn oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2.5 cups flour

Glazing

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  1. Activate the yeast by dissolving it in warm milk with sugar and let it sit until foamy

  2. Add yogurt, corn oil, baking powder, and salt to the yeast mixture and stir well

  3. Gradually incorporate flour and knead the mixture into a smooth dough

  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size

  5. Punch down the dough and shape it as desired for the final product

  6. Prepare the glazing by whisking together egg yolk and salt

  7. Brush the shaped dough with the glazing mixture

  8. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown and cooked through
