Cinnamon Sugar Bagels with Maple Walnut Cream Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup thick dairy-free yogurt (may need more depending on the water content of the yogurt)
Toppings
- 2 tbsp sugar + 2 tsp cinnamon
Maple walnut cream cheese spread
- 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese
- handful of chopped walnuts
- drizzle of maple syrup
Preparation
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and yogurt in a bowl and knead with your hands until it forms a dough ball.
Cut the dough ball into 4 equal parts, roll each into a ball, poke a hole to form a bagel shape, and place on a baking sheet.
Coat the top of each bagel with melted vegan butter and sprinkle with a generous amount of the cinnamon sugar topping.
Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
While the bagels are baking, whisk together the cream cheese, chopped walnuts, and maple syrup.
Once the bagels are done baking, slice them in half, spread with a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture, and enjoy.
