Vegan Orange Waffles with Almond Milk
Ingredients
- 1 cup (115-120g) all-purpose flour (light spelt flour will work too)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- pinch of sea salt
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup (120ml) almond milk
- 1/3 cup (80ml) orange juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil + more to grease the waffle iron
Preparation
Mix dry ingredients in a mixing bowl
Add wet ingredients and mix to combine
Bake waffles in a hot waffle iron greased with a bit of oil
Do not pour too much batter as the waffles need space to rise; baking time will depend on the temperature of your waffle iron, for reference it was 4-5 minutes
Top with plant-based yogurt, fruit, and cacao nibs and enjoy
