Simple Vegan Bagel Bites
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup thick dairy-free yogurt (may need more depending on the water content of the yogurt)
- 1 block vegan cream cheese
Toppings
- everything seasoning
- vegan butter
Preparation
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and yogurt in a bowl and knead with hands until a dough ball forms.
Cut the dough ball into 8 equal parts, roll each into a ball, and flatten into a disk.
Cut the vegan cream cheese block into 8 equal squares, place each square inside a dough disk, enclose the dough around it, and roll into a ball, then place on a baking sheet.
Coat the top of each bagel bite with melted vegan butter and sprinkle with everything seasoning.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350°F.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Vegan cream cheese has a slightly different consistency and needs to cool fully to solidify again.
