Colorful Vegetable Pizza

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4/3 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or corn oil
  • 1 cup warm milk

Filling

  • 1 cup prepared pizza sauce
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium sweet green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium sweet red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium sweet yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into small cubes
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano

Preparation

  1. In a mixer bowl, place 2 3/4 cups flour, the yeast, baking powder, salt, sugar, oil, and milk. Attach the dough hook and mix on medium speed for 3-4 minutes until a smooth, soft dough forms. Alternatively, knead by hand for 5-8 minutes.

  2. Shape the dough into a ball, place it in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

  3. Preheat the oven to 190°C and prepare a 9x13 inch baking sheet.

  4. Roll out the dough to fit the baking sheet, place it in the sheet, spread the pizza sauce over it, and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

  5. Arrange the vegetables and olives in parallel lines with coordinated colors and sprinkle the dried oregano over the pizza.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked and the vegetables are golden brown. Serve hot.
