Crispy Apple-Filled Pastry Cookies
Ingredients
Filling
- 5 medium apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 cup crushed walnuts
Dough
- 4.5 cups flour
- 200 grams butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet vanilla
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
Topping
- powdered sugar
Preparation
Prepare the filling by cooking apples with sugar, cinnamon, butter, and walnuts until soft and combined.
Mix all dough ingredients together to form a smooth dough.
Roll out the dough and cut into circles or desired shapes.
Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough piece, fold and seal the edges to form cookies.
Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown and crispy.
Dust the baked cookies with powdered sugar before serving.
Tips
These cookies can be made ahead and frozen for later use; simply thaw and serve when needed.
