Crispy Vegan Cauliflower Wings with Sauce
Ingredients
Crusty batter
- 1/2 cup AP flour
- 2 tbsp rice flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- white pepper to taste
Spicy sauce
- 2.5 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
- 1 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1-2 tbsp water
- add some hot sauce for that kick
Preparation
Mix all crusty ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Preheat oven to 495F.
Cut a small head of cauliflower into florets and coat them well with the crusty mixture.
Lay them on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven, brush some oil on the cauliflower, flip them, and bake for another 5 minutes to give a roasted look.
Mix all saucy ingredients and set aside.
In a heated pan with 1 tsp avocado oil, pour the sauce in slowly (it may splash), add the cauliflower florets, and coat them until well combined.
Serve immediately.
