Kidney Bean Baked Falafels

Ingredients

  • 1 tin kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • optional: 2 tsp flax seed
  • 1/2-3/4 cup oats .

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees

  2. Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl and blend until he mixture is mostly smooth. The mixture should be quite ‘wet’ but should hold its shape quite well. If the mixture is still sloppy, add more oats

  3. Roll the mixture into small balls and pop in the oven for 18 minutes
