Mini Healthy Apple Pies

Ingredients

  • 8 heaped tbsp ground almonds
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp apple sauce from a jar
  • Optional: Almond butter and soy ice cream for serving

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) or Gas Mark 4.

  2. In a bowl, mix ground almonds and water until they form a dough ball.

  3. Split the dough ball in half and place each portion on a work surface. Flatten the dough and use your fingertips to pinch the edges, creating a crust. You can shape them free-hand without using a tin.

  4. Fill each crust with apple sauce and sprinkle with cinnamon. Place the mini pies on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
