Simple Blender Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients

Cake batter

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons melted margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Chocolate frosting

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Cake batter

  1. Blend all cake batter ingredients except baking powder in a blender for 2 to 3 minutes

  2. Add baking powder and blend for 15 seconds

  3. Pour into a round cake pan greased with butter and dusted with flour

  4. Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (350Β°F)

Chocolate frosting

  1. Cook all chocolate frosting ingredients over medium heat until thickened to a fudge-like consistency

  2. Pour over the cake immediately
