Steamed Chocolate Caramel Cake
Ingredients
Caramel
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 3 eggs
- a little vanilla essence
Cake layer
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cocoa powder
Dry and egg mixture
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation
Melt 2 tablespoons of sugar in a pan over low heat, spread evenly on the pan surface, and let it cool.
Blend together 1 cup condensed milk, 1 cup liquid milk, 3 eggs, and a little vanilla essence until smooth, then pour into the sugar-coated pan and steam for 20-25 minutes before cooling.
In a pot, combine 1 cup condensed milk, 1 cup liquid milk, 1 cup cooking oil, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup cocoa powder, then stir until well combined over low heat for 3-4 minutes.
Blend 2 eggs and sift together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon baking powder, then add the sifted dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, alternate with the blended eggs, stir until fully combined, pour over the caramel layer, and steam for 60 minutes.
