Best Tasting Oatmeal with Turmeric and Cranberries

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom
  • 2 anise stars
  • 1 plump date
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

Toppings

  • Yogurt
  • Maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Pulse the rolled oats in a blender a few times.

  2. Chop the date.

  3. Add all ingredients to a saucepan and simmer on low heat until desired thickness.

  4. Swirl in yogurt and drizzle with maple syrup.
