Beef and Mushroom Sauté
Ingredients
- 300g beef chuck
- 250g mushrooms
- 1 red bell pepper
- 3-4 green bell peppers
- 1 medium onion
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Preparation
Heat a suitable pan and add the meat, then cook on medium heat until it releases and absorbs its own water.
If the meat is still tough, add a small amount of hot water and stir occasionally until all water is absorbed.
Add olive oil and butter to the tenderized meat and sauté for 1 minute.
Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook for another minute.
Chop mushrooms to the size of the meat pieces and add to the pan, then continue sautéing for 1-2 minutes.
Chop peppers coarsely and add them to the pan.
Add tomato paste and cook until fragrant with the vegetables.
Add cubed tomatoes, spices, and salt.
Cover the pan and cook until the tomatoes are fully dissolved.
Remove from heat, let rest for 15 minutes, and serve.
