Homemade Black Burger Buns
Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 200 ml water
- 3 teaspoons activated charcoal
- 70 g room-temperature butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon water for brushing
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Preparation
First, put the flour together with the dry yeast in a large bowl.
Mix the milk with the water, eggs, vinegar, and activated charcoal in a second bowl and mix well.
Add the liquid mixture to the flour and knead with the butter and salt into a smooth dough.
Let the dough rise covered in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Now divide the dough on a floured surface into pieces and shape into round buns of desired size.
Place the shaped buns on baking paper and let them rise again covered with a kitchen towel for 30 minutes.
Now preheat the oven to 180°C fan-assisted.
Brush the burger buns with water and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Bake the burger buns for about 20 minutes depending on the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
