Simple Vegan Chocolate Chip Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2/3 cup vegan milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder until well combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, vegan milk, and vanilla essence.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed, being careful not to overmix.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting and serving.
