Vegan Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2/3 cup vegan milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Combine all of the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and then separately do the same with the wet ingredients and then combine the two into a batter.

  2. Mix in the chocolate chips and then pour the batter into a lined and greased baking tray.

  3. Place the tray into a pre-heated oven at 180 Celsius for 35 minutes or until it is cooked in the middle, checked by poking a stick in and seeing if it comes out dry.

  4. Let it cool for 30 minutes.

Serving suggestions

  1. Enjoy with a cup of tea or some ice cream.
