Double Cheese Butter Cake
Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 75g all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 75g caster sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon powdered milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 20g grated cheddar cheese
Topping
- 20g grated cheddar cheese
Preparation
Prepare a 6-inch pan by greasing it lightly with butter and lining the base with baking paper.
Cream sugar and butter until light and white.
Add egg yolks one at a time and beat until combined, then add vanilla essence and egg white and beat until combined.
Combine dry ingredients and sift, then add gradually and beat until well mixed.
Finally, fold in the grated cheddar cheese with a spatula until evenly distributed.
Ensure the oven is preheated, then pour the batter into the pan and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Bake at 170°C for 40 minutes or until done, using appropriate oven settings.
When baked, remove from oven and allow to cool before cutting.
