Marble Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered milk
  • 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon ovalette
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh milk

Preparation

  1. Put all ingredients except melted butter into a mixing bowl

  2. Mix for 1 minute at speed 2

  3. Mix for 4 minutes at speed 5 until batter appears white and creamy

  4. Stop the mixer

  5. Gradually add melted butter while folding in and mix until even

  6. Divide the batter according to the chosen colors

  7. Preheat oven to 150°C for 4 to 5 minutes then reduce to 130°C

  8. Bake for approximately 70 minutes in a 9-inch pan; for a thicker cake, use an 8-inch pan

Tips

  1. Oven size used was 60 liters
