Steamed Grated Cassava Snack
Ingredients
- 500 grams cassava
- 150 grams brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 grated coconut, prepared by steaming with 1/2 teaspoon salt for 15 minutes
Preparation
Steam the grated coconut with 1/2 teaspoon salt for 15 minutes.
Peel the cassava and grate it coarsely.
Mix the grated cassava with chopped brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt, stirring until even.
Steam the mixture for 15 minutes or until cooked.
While still warm, shape the mixture using a conical mold lined with banana leaves.
Serve with a sprinkle of the steamed grated coconut.
