Turkish Tekirdağ Style Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground meat
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs or bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons semolina
  • Salt, black pepper, cumin, red pepper

Preparation

  1. Mix all the meat ingredients together and knead for 10 minutes.

  2. Refrigerate and let it rest.

  3. Remove from the refrigerator half an hour before cooking, shape into thin strips, cut into finger-length pieces, and taper the ends.

  4. Fry in a cast-iron or regular pan with a little oil until browned on both sides.
