Vegan Gluten-Free Apple Crumble
Ingredients
Topping
- 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
Filling
- 4-5 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced (about 4 cups)
- 2 tbsp coconut or brown sugar
- 1/2 tbsp arrowroot or cornstarch
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- Vanilla ice cream, to serve (optional)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
Prepare the filling by mixing sliced apples with coconut or brown sugar, arrowroot or cornstarch, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup.
Prepare the topping by combining gluten-free rolled oats, almond flour, chopped pecans or walnuts, salt, ground cinnamon, maple syrup, and melted coconut oil.
Assemble the crumble by placing the filling in a baking dish and sprinkling the topping evenly over it.
Bake at 350°F/180°C for 30-40 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
