Healthy Black Bean Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans
  • 100g cocoa powder
  • 100g oats
  • 100ml any dairy free milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 200g dates
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 50g dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 50g chopped walnuts (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) / gas mark 4

  2. Soak the dates in hot water and then blend them into a paste.

  3. Rinse the black beans and then mash them.

  4. Blend the oats into a flour-like consistency.

  5. Put all ingredients into a large bowl and mix until smooth.

  6. Bake in the oven at 180°C (356°F) / gas mark 4 for 25-30 minutes.
