Brazilian Shortcrust Pastry for Empadas

Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  1. Place the flour in a bowl and add the remaining ingredients except water

  2. Knead without overworking and gradually add water until a homogeneous dough forms that does not stick to hands

  3. Let rest for 30 minutes

  4. Use with your preferred filling
