4 Step Vegan Blueberry Sweet Rolls
Ingredients
Dough
- 1/2 cup vegan butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups almond milk
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 5 cups flour
Filling
- 1/2 cup softened vegan butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2-3 cups blueberries
Frosting
- 1/2 cup softened vegan butter
- 1 8-ounce package vegan cream cheese
- 3-4 cups confectioners sugar
Preparation
Mix 1/2 cup vegan butter, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 cups almond milk. Then sprinkle a packet of active dry yeast on top and set aside for 5 minutes. Then mix in 5 cups of flour with a hand mixer. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and set aside for 1 hour to let it rise.
Set dough on a floured surface and use a rolling pin to roll it into a 1/2 inch sheet. Sprinkle more flour on the dough as you roll it out if it’s sticky. Fill with the ingredients, roll dough into a log, and slice into 10-12 rolls. Set into a baking dish, cover with plastic, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes until lightly browned.
Enjoy alone or make vegan cream cheese frosting by mixing the frosting ingredients together.
