Black Bean Brownies with Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • chocolate chips (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Blend 1 cup of oats into a flour consistency and set aside.

  2. In a food processor, combine 1 can of drained and rinsed black beans, 1/2 cup maple syrup, 1/2 cup applesauce, and 1/4 cup cacao powder. Process until smooth.

  3. Stir in the oat flour by hand.

  4. Stir in the desired amount of chocolate chips.

  5. Pour the batter into a loaf pan, sprinkle with more chocolate chips, and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
