Easy Malaysian Sweet and Sour Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast, diced
- tempura flour
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 green chilies
- 2 red chilies
- spring onions
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon plum sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- white pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water
Preparation
Coat the chicken with tempura flour and fry until golden.
Remove and set aside.
Heat oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add the sauce ingredients and stir until bubbly.
Add the chicken and stir well.
If you want more sauce, add water and season with Maggi to taste.
Finally, add red chilies, green chilies, and spring onions.
Serve immediately.
Tips
Plum sauce is optional and can be omitted if not available.
