Spicy Shredded Pindang Fish

Ingredients

  • 3 large pindang salim fish

Spices

  • 15 bird's eye chilies
  • 7 shallots
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • Granulated sugar to taste
  • Seasoning to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • Oil for sautéing
  • A little water

Preparation

  1. Shred the pindang fish and fry until golden.

  2. Grind the spices into a paste.

  3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the ground spices until fragrant.

  4. Add the shredded and fried fish to the pan.

  5. Pour in the sweet soy sauce and a little water.

  6. Cook until the spices are fully absorbed into the fish.

  7. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

  8. Serve immediately.
