Simple Indonesian Stir-Fried Clams

Ingredients

  • Clams
  • 1 red chili
  • 1/2 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • A little water
  • Salt to taste
  • Chicken stock powder to taste
  • Brown sugar to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Preparation

  1. Boil the clams until they open, then remove the meat and discard the shells.

  2. Heat the oil in a pan.

  3. Sauté the shallots, garlic, and red chili until fragrant.

  4. Add a little water.

  5. Add the clam meat.

  6. Stir in salt, chicken stock powder, brown sugar, and sweet soy sauce.

  7. Cook, stirring, until the mixture is well combined and the water has reduced.

  8. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  9. Remove from heat and serve.
