Big Mac Style Burger Bowls

Ingredients

  • mixed greens
  • diced tomato
  • red onion
  • pickle

Fries

  • 1 sweet potato
  • oil
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika
  • garlic powder

Burger patty

  • grass fed beef
  • a few tablespoons finely diced onion
  • 1 egg
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Dijon mustard
  • tamari
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • sharp cheddar

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons mayo
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon diced pickle
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • dash of hot sauce

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Peel and slice 1 sweet potato, drizzle with oil, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, and spread on a lined cookie sheet to ensure they crisp up

  3. Bake the sweet potato fries for 25 minutes and then broil for 2 minutes

  4. For the burger patty, mix grass fed beef with a few tablespoons of finely diced onion, 1 egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, tamari, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

  5. Form the mixture into patties and cook on the grill or stove top, then top with sharp cheddar

  6. For the sauce, combine 3 tablespoons mayo, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon finely diced onion, 1 tablespoon diced pickle, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, and a dash of hot sauce

  7. Assemble the bowls with mixed greens, diced tomato, red onion, pickle, sweet potato fries, burger patty, and top with the sauce
