Green Chili Salted Fish Sambal

Ingredients

  • 100 g salted fish
  • 2 tofu
  • 100 g green chilies
  • 10 green bird's eye chilies
  • 6 shallots
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 lemongrass stalk
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Stock powder to taste
  • Oil for sautéing

Preparation

  1. Fry the salted fish briefly and set aside.

  2. Cut the tofu into cubes and fry until golden, then set aside.

  3. Coarsely grind the green chilies, bird's eye chilies, and a little salt.

  4. Add the shallots and grind again.

  5. Sauté the ground mixture with the sliced tomato, lemongrass, and bay leaf, stirring well.

  6. Add stock powder and adjust the taste.

  7. Turn off the heat.

  8. Add the fried salted fish and fried tofu, then stir until well mixed.

  9. Remove from heat and serve.
