Homemade Tapioca Chips with Sabudana Papad
Ingredients
- 1 cup Tapioca
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- salt
- cumin seeds
- water
Preparation
Tapioca base
Soak Tapioca for 4 hours
Drain the water and add 6 cups of water and boil it until the tapioca is dissolved. You will know when the color of the mixture turns slightly gray/black
Add salt and cumin
Mix 1/2 cup of rice flour in water and add the rice flour mixture to the tapioca mixture and mix well.
Close the lid and let it stand for few minutes
Drying process
During summers when the sun is bright and days are hot, lay a cotton cloth or sheet
Using a spoon spread out the tapioca base in small discs
Let it dry it in the sun for about 2 days
When the disc are nice and well dried remove is and store it in air tight container
Cooking method
Heat oil and on a low flame when the oil heats up fry the Tapioca chips in oil.
Serve is like a snack or main course
