Spinach and Cheese Hand-Rolled Borek
Ingredients
Dough
- flour

- salt
Filling
- 1 kg spinach
- 3 stalks fresh green onion
- a bowl of white cheese
- black pepper
- red pepper flakes
Additional
- oil for brushing
- butter for topping
Preparation
Mix flour, water, and salt to form a soft dough.
Prepare the filling by combining spinach, fresh green onion, white cheese, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Roll out the dough thinly to create phyllo sheets.
Brush the phyllo sheets with oil, add the filling, and assemble by layering or rolling.
Brush the top with melted butter.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake until golden brown.
Tips
You can substitute half of the flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
