Fried Apple and Almond Butter Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 apple (I used fiji)
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom
  • 2 slices wholewheat bread
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 tsp maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Cut the apple into bite-sized cubes, add to a frying pan with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, and heat to medium-high. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom, then cook, stirring often, until warmed and softened, about 5 to 10 minutes.

  2. Toast two slices of wholewheat bread and spread with almond butter. Top with the fried apple and drizzle with maple syrup.
