Fried Apple and Almond Butter Toast
Ingredients
- 1 apple (I used fiji)
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp cardamom
- 2 slices wholewheat bread
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tsp maple syrup
Preparation
Cut the apple into bite-sized cubes, add to a frying pan with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, and heat to medium-high. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom, then cook, stirring often, until warmed and softened, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Toast two slices of wholewheat bread and spread with almond butter. Top with the fried apple and drizzle with maple syrup.
