Brazilian St. Anthony's Dulce De Leche Cake

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 can dulce de leche

Preparation

  1. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and set aside

  2. In a mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff, then add the yolks one by one with the mixer still running

  3. With everything incorporated, turn off the mixer and add the sugar, flour, and water, mixing gently from bottom to top

  4. Add the baking powder, mix well, pour into a greased pan, and bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for about 35 minutes

  5. Let cool, cut in half, and fill with dulce de leche
