Shockingly Good Licorice Balls

Ingredients

  • 80 grams almonds (approximately 1 deciliter)
  • 80 grams cashews (approximately 1 deciliter)
  • 150 grams soft, juicy dates without pits (approximately 10 large dates)
  • 2 tablespoons licorice powder
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Coating

  • a little extra licorice powder

Preparation

  1. Put all ingredients except the extra licorice powder in a food processor.

  2. Process until the nuts are coarsely chopped and it forms a sticky mass, for 20-30 seconds. Do not overprocess to maintain crunch.

  3. Roll the mixture into balls and coat them in licorice powder.

Storage tips

  1. Store in the refrigerator; they will keep well for a long time. Can be frozen.
