Shockingly Good Licorice Balls
Ingredients
- 80 grams almonds (approximately 1 deciliter)
- 80 grams cashews (approximately 1 deciliter)
- 150 grams soft, juicy dates without pits (approximately 10 large dates)
- 2 tablespoons licorice powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Coating
- a little extra licorice powder
Preparation
Put all ingredients except the extra licorice powder in a food processor.
Process until the nuts are coarsely chopped and it forms a sticky mass, for 20-30 seconds. Do not overprocess to maintain crunch.
Roll the mixture into balls and coat them in licorice powder.
Storage tips
Store in the refrigerator; they will keep well for a long time. Can be frozen.
