Traditional Azerbaijani Fruit Kompot
Ingredients
- Fruits of choice, up to half the jar
- Less than 1.5 teaspoons powdered sugar
- 2-3 slices of peeled lemon
- 3-4 strands of mint
- Boiling water, to fill the jar
Preparation
Fill a jar with chosen fruits up to half full.
Add less than 1.5 teaspoons of powdered sugar.
Add 2-3 slices of peeled lemon and 3-4 strands of mint.
Pour boiling water into the jar until it is full.
Wrap the jar in a warm cloth or blanket.
Let it sit overnight.
Open the jar the next day and store it for winter use.
