Orange Magnolia Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 liter milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- Grated zest of 1 orange
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 50 grams white chocolate
- 1 package heavy cream
- 1 package vanilla
- 1 tablespoon butter
For the layer
- Crumbled ready-made sponge cake
Preparation
Squeeze the orange juice, mix with grated zest and sugar, and let it sit to infuse color and aroma.
Strain the mixture and pour into a pot.
Add flour, cornstarch, and half of the milk, then whisk well.
Add egg yolks and whisk thoroughly with a wire whisk.
Add the remaining milk and cook over heat, stirring constantly until it thickens to a pudding consistency.
Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla, and white chocolate, then whisk until smooth.
Set aside to cool slightly.
Add the heavy cream and whisk until smooth and lump-free.
Pour an equal amount into serving cups.
Sprinkle crumbled sponge cake on top.
Pour the remaining pudding over the cake layer.
Decorate as desired.
Refrigerate until cool.
Serve.
Notes
Orange can be substituted with lemon in the same quantities.
