Baked Cherry Tart with Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 packet vanilla
Cherry sauce
- 1 bowl seedless cherries
- 5 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Preparation
Beat the eggs and sugar in a mixer until frothy.
Add vegetable oil and milk, and mix briefly.
Sift the flour, add baking powder and vanilla, and mix.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured tart cake mold.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C with top and bottom heat for 10-15 minutes.
For the sauce, place the cherries and 1/2 cup water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
In a bowl, dissolve 2 tablespoons cornstarch in slightly less than 1/2 cup water.
Add the cornstarch mixture to the pan and stir until thickened.
After the mixture boils, blend it until smooth and let it cool.
Turn the baked tart cake upside down, pour the cooled cherry sauce over it, and let it rest.
Decorate as desired.
